Welcome to The Cottage. Thank you for your interests in our rental home. We are located next to The Barn of Chapeau Shores in Albert Lea, MN, a convenient in town location in a very nice neighborhood. The Cottage is a spacious, beautiful home that is fully furnished and able to accommodate up to 15 people.
Whether you are traveling to town for a wedding, a family vacation, a weekend get-a-way with friends, visiting family or on a business trip, The Cottage will be a wonderful place to stay and be together.
Book The Cottage
The Cottage rental fee is $1,495.63 for a 2 nights stay. This includes the rental fee, taxes and the cleaning fee.
Couples that have booked The Barn for their wedding can Save 15% if they book directly through us. That is 15% off the VRBO fee. Example: Two-day booking through VRBO would be approximately $1560, but Booking directly through us you can save $234 for a total of $1326 for up to 15 people.

Direct bookings can be paid by check, cashier’s check or cash A $1000 damage deposit check is also required. This check is not cashed, unless damage to the home, décor, property or missing items are found. If not damage, the damage deposit will be shredded.
(Please note: The Cottage may or may not be available on your wedding date. We recommend if you are interested, that you book The Cottage, as soon as possible.
You also have the ability to book through Airbnb or VRBO, should you choose to book this way.
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT: Check in is at 3:00 pm CST on the arrival date and check out is by 11:00 am CST on the departure date.
What Will Be Provided:
- 4 Bedroom 3 Bath House that sleeps 15, with air conditioning and heat
- Household furniture supplied
- Main level: kitchen, dining room, living room, master suite with walk in closet and en suite bathroom, second bedroom and hallway bathroom. Lower level: family room, game table and chairs, gas fireplace, two bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room.
- 2 big screen TV’s with Netflix & Wi-Fi
- Sleeping options: 1 King, 4 Queen, Bunk bed with Twin over Full and 1 full sized futon.
- Bed linens, blankets and pillows provided for the bedrooms and futon couch. If the renter has an extended stay and would like the sheets cleaned, they are welcome to use the washer and dryer with the supplied detergent and dryer sheets.
- Bath and hand towels, wash clothes – A total of 15 bath towels and wash clothes will be provided for you during your rental period. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer if you want to wash your towels during your stay.
- Laundry room equipped with: Washer and dryer, detergent, dryer sheets, iron, distilled water, ironing board, cupboards and countertop for folding, drying rack, hanging rod and hangers
- 3 hair dryers, hand soap dispensers, toilet paper and tissues. Sample size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and a bar of soap is provided in each bathroom.
- Hangers for each closet
- Refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, toaster, coffee Hutch with Keurig coffee pods, cream, sugar, second countertop coffee maker, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, fry pans, bakeware, mixing bowls, strainers, measuring cups, wine opener, wine glasses, other misc. utensils, hand soap dispenser, dish brush, dishwasher with soap. Garbage cans and bags.
- Front porch chairs and table, back deck with outdoor furniture and two picnic tables
- Outdoor Gas Grill – propane supplied
- Large beautiful 1.2-acre lot
- LP Fire pit with seating, a lighter, 2 metal & wooden sticks for roasting
- Outdoor driveway parking and/or street parking (Garage is not included with the rental)
- 2 Pack-n-plays, 1 high chair and a baby bath
