I found this beautiful hidden gem on my search for a barn venue for my wedding. While the online photos are beautiful, they don’t even do justice to the amazing space. Walking in for our tour I was in awe. It’s gorgeous! I knew immediately this was the perfect space.
Jayne and Chad were the greatest venue owners/hosts you could ask for. Everything was gorgeous and beautiful, all decorated and ready. But they still go above and beyond with helping. It’s not so much the venue alone but these people are amazing at what they do. Everything was thought of, photos taken, video made, gift/card and every little thing they did for us to make the day magical was what really made it. We had the perfect, best day ever wedding and are so happy we chose The Barn of Chapeau Shores!
Simply Amazing! The venue is absolutely beautiful and Chad and Jayne and all of their staff go above and beyond to make your wedding day perfect. It is truly evident that they put their heart and soul into their venue. They love what they do and it shows. The grounds are immaculately kept, and they continue to add new things to the property to make it even more beautiful. They take the stress out of your wedding day. They serve as wedding day coordinator, shuttle driver, decor renter, and videographer on top of everything else they do. We rented the cottage also for our wedding weekend. Such a charming place and we had room for all of our kids to stay with us. Made for an incredible weekend of making memories. We had so many compliments from our guests about the venue and the owners. It was a perfect day!
The Barn of Chapeau Shores is such a beautiful and well thought-out venue! Jayne, Chad and their team are some of the kindest, sweetest and most genuine venue owners we have had the pleasure of working with! You can really tell that they care about their venue and their couples. They were easy to approach and made sure we had everything we needed! We loved that the barn had both a bride and groom suit also. It made things simple for us to jump back and forth between the couple. We can’t wait to get back to this beautiful space and work with them again!
The Barn of Chapeau Shores was the best venue we could’ve asked for to celebrate our wedding! Jayne and Chad were amazing, there every step of the way to make sure our day flowed flawlessly. Not to mention the beautiful property! They put in so much effort to keep the venue beautiful as ever. The communication from Jayne and Chad was also great! Any questions you have from before booking until your big day, they respond very quickly and thoroughly. They were also there for us for every step of our day, making sure every detail was how we wanted it. Best wedding venue we could’ve asked for, as well as owners! If you’re looking for a beautiful, unique place to get married, this is definitely for you!
The venue is amazing with many places to take pictures. Jayne and Chad do everything they can to make sure that the day (no matter if it is a wedding or other celebration) goes well. Jayne made a wonderful highlight video of all of our day. Jayne was so ready to answer any questions that we had. Their “Locks of Love” is a great touch. The bridal and groom suites are excellent as well and a great place for the wedding parties to get ready for the big day! Our guests loved the venue as well and we heard so many of them say that our wedding was one of the most fun and memorable weddings they had ever been to! Thanks again for everything Jayne and Chad!!!
First off I want to start by saying Jayne and Chad are the nicest couple I have ever met. And the lengths that they go through to make your wedding day remarkable is unbelievable.
The barn is breathtaking. If you want a barn wedding, this is the place, from the looks, to the wood and even the smell of fresh wood, it’s all amazing. When my husband and I toured the barn we fell in love. Jayne will be any bride’s saving grace. She helps with anything and everything to make your wedding dreams come true. The bride’s suite and groom’s suite are just perfect and adorable. I remember all day I kept saying I felt like a princess and you truly do. Every girl dreams of their fairytale wedding and that’s how I felt.
One of the things that my husband and I loved was how you feel like you’re at home. You feel comfortable, and all our guests kept saying that also. The last thing any bride or groom wants is more stress, from the venue staff or anything. You will have none of that, if anything Chad and Jayne take care of it for you to avoid that. But seriously this was the best day of my life and part of that was how spectacular the Barn of Chapeau Shores is.
This venue is top notch!!!! First time parents of the bride. First off they are so welcoming, and made us feel right at home and that our daughter’s wedding was the most important event in the world. They have thought of every detail. The barn is not only a beautiful venue inside and out, the Cottage is just as nice. We rented it for the night before the wedding and was able to have everyone over there for the rehearsal get together. The Cottage is perfect and the yard was spectacular! We will never forget this day!
We got married at the barn 8/26/23 and could not have asked for a better day. Chad and Jayne are so helpful and welcoming! The venue is stunning and the services they offer make it so you don’t need to worry about anything. Chad and Jayne make you feel at home!

What an amazing venue! The staff is wonderful to work with from the moment you tour it. They help out so much and make sure your day is exactly how you envisioned it. The pictures are WONDERFUL and the guests all had a wonderful time.
Amazing venue!!! The inside is stunning, simple yet gorgeous!! Outdoors is beautiful!! So well maintained, the landscaping is picturesque!!! Rustic yet classic!!! Perfectly accessible for young, young at heart and fully handicap accessible! The owners are amazing!!! They too help in any way they can!!! Highly recommend it!!! Beyond impressed!!!!
We were married at The Barn of Chapeau Shores in May 2023. From the moment we stepped in the venue we knew there wasn’t anything that would compare! There’s not a single detail that was overlooked. The space is beautiful, accommodating, and so clean!
Chad and Jayne are hands down the most AMAZING venue owners. They are quick to respond, have so much insight, and just make sure that your wedding day is stress free and nothing short of amazing! I truly cannot recommend working with them enough. We felt so fortunate and commented so many times throughout our planning process how grateful we were to be working with them. I wish we could give them 10 stars!
If you don’t book this venue in Minnesota, you’re missing out. Price is great and you get a lot! Jayne and Chad the venue owners cover so many details and are so well organized. Jayne saved us from a lot of potential catastrophes since we were forgetting about so many details. We were able to rent items from her at an affordable price. We couldn’t stop hearing the praise from our guests on how beautiful the venue is outside and inside. The grass is so well kept, trees are magical and the best part is the lighting on the inside! You are in for a magical wedding at an affordable cost.
We toured numerous barn venues searching for a one level, temperature controlled, handicap accessible place. We didn’t think we’d find one! The second we stepped in the barn, we knew this was the place. The biggest concern for Brody and I was how we were going to make sure our Grandmas got to see everything, but the barn is fully handicap accessible so once again, perfect!
The venue is everything but the owners are the icing on the cake. Jayne and Chad were there for set up, tear down, and everything in between. Jayne has an eye for detail and almost acts as your wedding planner for the day. She made sure all my vendors had everything they needed, set up the snack table and even replenished the dessert. Chad is the handyman! He hung every piece of decor with ease, took down tables for the dance and even helped man the bar.
We can’t thank you enough Jayne and Chad for making our day so so special and for allowing us to share your beautiful barn for the day.
Jayne and Chad are professional, friendly, exceptionally quick to reply to any questions, and they go the extra mile to assure that everything goes smooth. When we forgot the grandparents’ corsages at the venue, Jayne hopped in her car and brought them to the church. We didn’t have to ask – she offered. Her level of customer service is beyond top notch.
The Barn of Chapeau Shores was a perfect fit for our daughter’s theme. And, they obviously take great pride in their venue; absolutely everything is impeccably maintained. From the landscaping, to the lighting, to the bride’s room, everything is just so pretty! Guests had a wonderful time outdoors as God blessed us with a beautiful weather. The venue is a hidden gem in southern MN for weddings and events. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. As the wedding photographer, Chad and Jayne ensured all the details were covered. Rain was in the forecast during the ceremony times, but Chad and Jayne had a backup plan if needed. Jayne would check in and offer me snacks/water throughout the day. These two poured their soul, resources, and lives into this property so others could have a memorable wedding day.
A week and a half ago, I got to experience my dream wedding! I don’t know that I can accurately articulate just how amazing our experience was at The Barn of Chapeau Shores!
From the moment we pulled into the parking lot and walked in the door to tour the space a year ago, I knew this was the venue for our dream barn wedding! The landscaping is amazing, and everything on the inside is stunning!
Jayne and Chad were so easy and great to work with! From answering random questions along the way, to helping make sure everything was laid out perfectly for the reception and ceremony, and even helping with take down, we couldn’t of asked for a better, nearly stress free experience!

Brody and I got married here August 25, 2022. We got compliments the whole night about how beautiful the venue was. I wanted that rustic theme and the venue was just perfect for our dream wedding, and I love the fact that Jayne rents her own decor. It was very helpful. This was the first venue we looked at and we just instantly knew that this was the one. We loved the fact that it had AC and bathrooms. Not only was the venue beautiful but Jayne and Chad were very welcoming, flexible and respectful of every idea we had. She communicated with us very well and was checking up on us on our big day. We had no experience hosting any kind of event and had a lot of questions and she was able to guide us into the right direction and even helped set things up as we were getting ready. They really kept things as stress free as they could. We really felt like we and our wedding mattered.
My husband and I got married at the Barn of Chapeau Shores on July 30, 2022. We actually selected this venue without visiting in person first because of the impressive photos and positive reviews. When we got to the venue for the first time to meet Jayne and Chad, we were blown away by the beauty and cleanliness of the property. There was a sense of calm and serenity within the barn that we both felt on that day and our wedding day. Air conditioning was a high priority for us since we planned a summer wedding, and the barn stayed cool and comfortable all night, even with nearly 200 people mingling inside. Almost every guest we talked to commented on how beautiful the barn and surrounding area were, and many said it was the best wedding venue they had ever been to (we agree!). My husband and I had very little knowledge on how to run an event of this magnitude, but Jayne and Chad were there every step of the way and were hands on and helpful when we needed them. They had an abundance of expertise that they were more than willing to share with us, and were polite, professional, and patient with us throughout the entire process. They caught potential issues before they ever happened, offered suggestions when we weren’t sure on a decision, and were so generous and thoughtful every step of the way. Thank you, Jayne and Chad, for helping facilitate the wedding we had envisioned all along!
I cannot say enough great things about the owners of The Barn of Chapeau Shores. The venue has so many beautiful areas for pictures! The owners take the time to ensure the landscaping is beautiful for your day. They are so accommodating and willing to go the extra mile to make your day extra special. When we toured this barn, my top priority was to find a venue that would be wheelchair friendly for my dad. This was one of the only venues that I felt was truly accessible for my dad. We were married at the barn 6/25/22 and were so happy with the owners. They truly care about the couples that rent out the barn. We would HIGHLY recommend booking your event here!
If there was a grade above 5 stars, it would be magical. The Barn of Chapeau Shores is magical. It is a gorgeous venue both inside and outside and is immaculately maintained. Even more than that the owners, Jayne and Chad, are magical. They were there every step of the way with their calm presence. They worked constantly and tirelessly throughout the entire weekend of our rental. As an example, at one point, I noticed Jayne helping my sister carry my elderly mom’s dinner plate back to the table. Jayne and Chad are experienced and can answer any question and provide guidance (if needed). They took on so many of the tasks that we hadn’t thought of and attended to countless details that I don’t imagine most venues would have taken care of. They always went above and beyond our expectations or hopes. Rarely, have I experienced their level of customer care and over so many hours. The vendors that Jayne and Chad recommended were also outstanding and went above and beyond expectations. Thank you, Jayne and Chad! Cindy (mother of the bride and proud mother-in-law).
We got married at this beautiful venue this past weekend and it was even better than we could have imagined! The main stress we had was the rain and even that went off without a hitch! Thankyou Jayne and Chad for being so prepared for anything the day could throw at us and giving us our outside wedding it will truly be unforgettable and a day to cherish forever, it was so perfect! We would definitely recommend this venue to anyone wanting a beautiful, smooth sailing and ready for anything place to get married. We were not disappointed! We had also rented the “cottage” next door for our wedding party and ourselves and we would do it again in a heartbeat, so many memories were made!
I’ve had the pleasure of working with The Barn of Chapeau Shores for many weddings over the last few years. The environment provided by this venue, and the owners dedication to not only the venue but your event as well, is something you don’t see often.

Amazing!! we had our wedding at the barn of chapeau shores and it was nothing but perfect! Jayne and Chad were wonderful to work with. they gave great advice on what had worked and didn’t work at their past events and guided us to our perfect day! Jayne and Chad were also there the day before our wedding and the day of our wedding to help out in any way. the details they have were out of this world. and to be able to rent items from them was very easy. I didn’t worry about a thing all day. the Barn is gorgeous inside and out. their property has everything you’d need for a wedding big or small. we rented their cottage as well for our wedding. . . a great perk! we’d pick the Barn of chapeau shores 100 times over for our wedding. The Barn of Chapeau Shores can really do it all! We hosted a beautiful life celebration there, and Jayne and Chad made it easy for us. They assisted on the day of the event and helped create a great experience for everyone that attended.

I own a wedding entertainment company called Ambient Entertainment LLC, and I had the pleasure of serving at The Barn of Chapeau Shores. The owners were highly professional and fantastic to work with. You can absolutely sense the passion they have for their craft! Don’t believe me? Check them out for yourself, and ask how they built this venue. Working alongside them to truly serve our special couple was wonderful. This has to be one of the classiest barn venues I have ever served at, not only a beautiful aesthetic but also air conditioning to save you on the dog days of summer! We cannot express enough how great it was to have our wedding at the Barn of Chapeau Shores. The owners have put an extreme amount of time and passion into their venue and it really shows! The inside is amazing, the outside is gorgeous, and everything is clean. They were on-site all day for our ceremony and reception setting up chairs, taking down tables, and tending to our needs as necessary. If you’re looking for a venue, you’ll see that you won’t get a better value for the beauty and effort included. Also, they now have a house adjacent to the property that is available to rent as well.
Our daughter’s wedding reception was held at The Barn of Chapeau Shores and we can’t recommend it enough to anyone out there looking for a place to hold a reception. The Barn is obviously a beautiful venue, as anyone can see if you go visit. But, Jayne and Chad go above and beyond making sure everything is done to your highest expectations. From the moment we stepped in for our initial tour, we knew this was the place we wanted to get married. I was absolutely amazed at the little touches Jayne put into every detail of every room, she truly thought of everything. The barn and grounds and amenities are beautiful, but the owners being so sweet and kind and genuine is what truly seals the deal. They feel more like lifelong friends right off the bat than just another vendor. We also love that they have decor available for rent, which saves us a huge hassle trying to find our own!
We decided two months before our wedding on October 10th to book the Barn of Chapeau Shores. It was a lot to change last minute, but we wouldn’t of wanted our reception to be anywhere else after viewing the barn and meeting with Jayne and Chad. They instantly eased any worry we had and made all of our dreams come true the day of our wedding. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was absolutely perfect. The venue is gorgeous inside and out. I can’t stop talking about how amazing our day was, and we are so grateful to have had Jayne and Chad there for us. We fell in love with The Barn of Chapeau Shores the second we saw it, and we highly recommend it to anyone in search of a great venue!!
If your looking for an amazing venue with amazing owners stop right here you don’t need to look any farther! We recently had our wedding here and it is absolutely gorgeous!! They did an amazing job on the venue and I wouldn’t have wanted our wedding anywhere else but there. Jayne and Chad are the most amazing and nicest people and were so helpful through our whole wedding. They came and helped us with set up (we booked it for the whole weekend, Friday-Sunday, which I recommend everyone doing because its much easier and less stressful) whatever we wanted to do they were there to help us with it. They are very on top of things during the ceremony and reception. One example is we forgot about our lights that we wrapped the tree with and they found the remote and turned them on for us. On top of what they have already done to the place they just keep growing and adding to their beautiful property. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the barn was as well. We truly wouldn’t have wanted our wedding anywhere else and a lot of it has to do with Jayne and Chad and their amazing barn venue.
This venue is absolutely perfect. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a time machine so I can relive the best day ever! Chad and Jayne go above and beyond any venue or any expectation I had. Their flexibility, perfectionism, and attention to detail throughout the day and night and many months leading up to our wedding was incredible. Thank you so much for making this the best day ever.

The owners of this venue are the best part of this place. They anticipated everything that could come up. They are sooo accommodating. He is the jack of all trades and she is the sweetest. The actual venue is just breathtaking. Pictures just don’t show all the beauty this place holds. I just can’t tell you how much we appreciate all of their love and care. We will continue to recommend this beautiful place to everyone.
It’s an absolutely beautiful venue…from the outdoor ceremony to the indoor reception, bridal and groom suites…to the smallest of details. To be able to have everything in one place was phenomenal. We received so many compliments from our guests. Jayne and Chad are absolutely wonderful and so accommodating. From the planning to decorating and all the way to the end of our day…they made every effort to help ensure our wedding was perfect.
They put their heart and souls into this barn and it shows!! It is ABSOLUTELY perfect! They did so incredibly much for us from keeping an eye on the gift table to making accommodations for my Grandma. We had the best night of our lives and it’s all because of Chad and Jayne. Some people just hire their vendors and move on with their lives, but these two will be forever in our hearts and we will never be able to thank them enough for being so amazing.

We booked this venue for our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding reception and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Chad and Jayne bent over backward to see to it that all our needs were met. I also love the fact that both Jayne and Chad were present at our event. They made sure that things went smoothly and were eager to help with whatever we needed. They even took some photos and shared them with us – how nice is that? It almost goes without saying that this is a beautiful facility, but we are still hearing from family and friends how spectacular things were. If you are looking for a place to have a wedding or reception you cannot go wrong with The Barn!
